Buhari writes Senate for another medical vacation

President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday left New York for London after participating in the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), raising new speculations over his health.

The president reportedly checked out of the Millennium Tower, New York at about 8.05am and headed for JFK International Airport to embark on his journey to London.

This development will not come as a surprise as the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, had in a statement issued before the President left Abuja last weekend for New York stated that he would be proceeding to London after the UNGA.

It still remains unclear what the exact reason for the president’s trip to London is, but given the fact that he only recently returned to the country from London after spending over three months there on medical vacation, speculations are already rife that this may be a scheduled medical follow-up.

In a new development, Adesina has reportedly disclosed that Buhari will only spend four days in London after which he will return to Nigeria on Monday.

He did not however state the reason for president’s London visit.

Buhari ought to name himself minster of tourism since he likes travelling, if he had, we won’t be questioning his travelling decisions. We are used to him travelling, he should even go and turn Lagos to his main home, we care not

He can be the minister of tourism and stay in Nigeria for 4 years without travelling anywhere. Because he travels a lot doesn’t make him useless as you implied. It is part of his responsibilities as the president to perform ceremonial and official duties

Buhari cannot be sick, that’s certain. He must have gone to London for other engagements other than medical treatment. Let’s be optimistic about Buhari’s health, Mr. President isn’t sick

If he went to London for treatment, then Buhari should step down for Osinbajo to take over the government in full capacity. We are also confident of Osinbajo’s ability, Buhari should allow him rule the country.

People don’t understand that the UK colonised Nigeria and they are now colonising our president but let’s cheer up because he will be back on Monday
