Buhari denies discussing his next cabinet with anyone

President Muhammadu Buhari has denied discussing the composition of his second term cabinet with anyone I.

The president stated this in a pre-recorded television interview aired on the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, on Monday evening.

The airing of the interview was part of activities lined up for the second term inauguration of the president.

According to Buhari’s, who said he has already bid his cabinet members farewell, his administration has been scandal free.

Buhari said: “I have addressed the cabinet. I have said goodbye to them, at least, for the four years we were to attain by the 29th. I still haven’t discussed with anybody and you will not be the first person I will discuss it with.

“To begin with, when I addressed this cabinet, I said I was very pleased that we didn’t have any major scandal.

“I think that is a major achievement and if anybody who hasn’t got any evidence against any of my ministers, people have to trust me as to which of my ministers I will retain and which ones I will say goodbye and ‘very sincerely’ to.

“I didn’t go beyond that because I haven’t discussed with anybody yet.”
