KILLINGS: APC chieftain Frank attacks Buhari

Former deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has regretted being part of those that brought President Muhammadu Buhari to power in 2015.

He said “The change we brought, which I sincerely regret, has turned to a chain that has destroyed all the good legacies my older brother, Goodluck Jonathan left behind.”

Frank stated this in a statement on Wednesday, where he congratulated former President Jonathan on his 61st birthday and the launch of his historic book, “My Transition Hours”.

According to Frank, Jonathan wrote his name in gold in his action of 2015 when he allowed democracy to survive despite the fact he had power to truncate it. He added that the calibre of prominent persons that attended his book launch on Tuesday was prove the former President is more popular, acceptable and he’s seen as a hero of democracy.

Frank then urged President Buhari to get a copy of the book and ensure he not only read but turn it to the handout on democratic lecture.

Noting that most Nigerians, including him, never valued the fresh air ex-President Jonathan brought to Nigeria until the current administration took over in 2015, Frank said, “The change we brought (which I sincerely regret) has turned to a chain that has destroyed all the good legacies my older brother, Jonathan left behind.

“Under APC government today, bloodshed, which Jonathan discouraged, is now the order of the day, Killings and corruptions are more pronounced than before.”

Frank, who claimed he had been reliably informed that Buhari was not ready to hand over if he loses in 2019, said it was based on that “he dragged the military which is meant to be neutral to attend his ‘Next Level campaign launch.”

He went further to say, “Nigerians will not forget the role Buhari played after the 2011 general elections which he lost. His undemocratic tendencies engineered the crisis that later claimed several lives, including some Corps members innocently serving their fatherland.

“I, therefore urge the incumbent to prepare his hand-over note, learn shock-absorber tactics from former President Jonathan should he lose the election in 2019.”
