Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari over the administration’s ‘Trader Moni’ scheme.

According Osinbajo, through trader moni programme, “Buhari administration is expanding financial inclusion for its (Nigerian) citizens.”

Osinbajo stated this in a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Saturday after his Friday visit to Enugu State.

He wrote, “In Enugu State, it was heartwarming to hear the testimonies of Nigerians who have been previously overlooked but who contribute immensely to the Nigerian economy.

“All Nigerians matter and this administration is committed to proving that.

“Trader Moni is a distinct loan product under the Social Investment Programmes (SIP) that seeks to boost the informal sector by enumerating and empowering traders with loans.

“With Trader Moni, President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is expanding financial inclusion for its citizens.”

Tradermoni, is a scheme by Buhari’s government that gives a collateral-free loan of N10,000 to petty traders and artisans to assist them in their daily trade.
