Buhari, Governors lament state of economy, cast doubt over minimum wage deal
If the outcome of the Friday meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and state governors is anything to go by, then clouds of uncertainty may continue to trail implementation of the proposed minimum wage bill.
Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, who is the chairman of Nigerian governors, told journalists after the meeting that the President lamented the state of the economy to the governors.

Yari said the President simply told the governors, “the economy is in bad shape and that we have to come together, think and rethink on the way forward.”
