Buhari has told governors his ideal APC presidential candidate – Gov Sule

The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, said on Tuesday President Muhammadu Buhari has highlighted the qualities of the person he wanted as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections.

The governor, who stated this in a Channels Television programme, Politics Today, however, said the President has not come up with any name that fits the profile he presented.

President Buhari met with the APC governors shortly before he left the country for Spain on Tuesday.

The APC commenced the screening of the 23 presidential aspirants on Monday.

The APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar, were among the aspirants that appeared before the party’s presidential screening committee headed by former Edo State governor, John Odigie-Oyegun, on Monday.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and eight others were expected to appear before the panel today (Tuesday).
