Buhari, Lawan meet in Aso Rock

President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, on Wednesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Lawan was at the forecourt of the State House around 3.50pm.

The meeting is coming after Lawan presided over the screening and confirmation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 43 ministerial nominees list.

The ministerial screening which ended on Tuesday, a day ago, had majority of the nominees confirmed without being questioned, as they were asked to ‘take a bow and go’.

Though details of Lawan’s meeting with Buhari were not made public, there are speculations however, that the President may have invited him to appreciate him for a ‘job well done.’

Recall that the Presidency had since applauded the Lawan led 9th Senate for its express screening job.
