With all the scandals, 'do you still believe Buhari is Mr. Clean and APC is a party of angels?'- Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for the police arrest of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, and asked him to leave the politician alone.

Adeleke, who was declared winner of the Osun State 2018 governorship election by the governorship election tribunal, was arrested by the police on Monday.

The APC has since challenged the ruling of the tribunal at the Appeal Court.

Aside that case, Adeleke is also battling suits accusing him of involvement in exam malpractice and not being qualified to run for the office of governorship.

Police is reported to have claimed it arrested and detained the senator over ongoing criminal investigations against him.

But reacting on his Twitter handle, Fani-Kayode, who hails from Osun State wrote:

“Buhari, for God sake stop this madness and leave Demola Adeleke alone! Detaining him will not help you. Whether you like it or not he will be sworn in as governor of our beloved Osun State.

Imole ti de! You will not and cannot rob the people of Osun or deny them their choice!”
