Buhari, NASS leadership meet on COVID-19, others

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday met with the leadership of the National Assembly (NASS) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting was attended by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other principal officers of the parliament.

The president had earlier met with some members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) who briefed him on the activities in their various ministries.

However, the agenda of the meeting between the President and the NASS leadership has not been made public.

The meeting which was convened at the instance of the NASS leadership is expected to focus on the efforts of the Federal and state governments towards curbing the spread of Coronavirus across the country and other salient national issues.
