Buhari orders security chiefs to deal ruthlessly with bandits, kidnappers

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the nation’s security chiefs to without any further delay deal ruthlessly with bandits in Zamfara and other North West states.

Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto and Kaduna states, all in North West, have continued to suffer loss of lives and properties owing to activities of the bandits.

Buhari, who wants the issue to be addressed mercilessly, also asked them not to spare kidnappers and other criminals across the country.

The directive was the outcome of President Buhari’s Thursday meeting with the security chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, who made this known to State House correspondents after the meeting which held behind closed doors said, “We have the marching order to deal with this issue immediately and ruthlessly and ensure that all those bandits are immediately dealt with and all those issues that are bordering with our security are properly addressed.”
