Obasanjo’s greatest mistake was not jailing Buhari –Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment of Senator Bola Tinubu to lead the All Progressives Congress (APC) reconciliation team was a plot to destroy the former Lagos State governor.

President Buhari had earlier on Tuesday appointed Tinubu as the leader of a committee he constituted with the mandate to reconcile and build confidence among members of the APC.

A statement signed by a junior aide of the President on media and publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, said the “assignment will involve resolving disagreement among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the federation”.

But responding to the development in a tweet on his handle, Fani-Kayode said, “When a king wants to destroy his top general he sends him on a mission that is impossible to achieve or to a battle that can’t be won. Sending BAT (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) to settle differences between APC members is mission impossible. And the objective is to destroy him and blame him for its failure.”

In another tweet in reaction to Police declaring General Ibrahim Babangida’s spokesman wanted, he wrote, “If u are not a coward why declare Kassim Afegbua wanted and leave the man on whose behalf he spoke alone. If u are not a coward and a bully why are u so scared of IBB and why are u harrassing his spokesman. Truth is u can’t handle IBB. U are terrified of him. U fear his shadow.”
