New ministers hold first FEC meeting with Buhari

After missing four consecutive Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings, President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday presided over the meeting in Abuja.

Buhari’s long absence at FEC followed his trip to Russia for the Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi in October and his journey to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he attended the Future Investment Initiative (FII).

The period was also when Buhari spent 15 days in London for a private visit.

While President Buhari was away from those meetings, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided.

In attendance at the Wednesday meeting at the Presidential Villa included Osinbajo and most of the ministers.
