Buhari sacks Baffa as TETFund boss, reappoints Bogoro

The Buhari-led government, Monday, announced the removal of Dr Abdullahi Bichi Baffa as the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) while Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro was announced as his replacement.

This development was announced in a statement by the Federal Ministry of Education, released to the media through the Deputy Director, Information, Mr Bem Goong.

Part of the statement reads, “The Federal Government has approved the re-instatement of Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro as the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).

No reason was given for the removal of Baffa.

Bogoro was the Executive Secretary of TETFUND between April 2014 and February 2016.
