Buhari sends 2020-2022 Medium Term Expenditure Framework to Senate

Buhari very qualified to contest, Tribunal tells Atiku

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday received the 2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) from President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Buhari submitted the MTEF and FSP in a letter addressed to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

He said in the letter that developments in the global and the domestic environment were taken into account in preparing the 2020-2022 MTEF and FSP.

Buhari said he was hopeful that the federal lawmakers would expeditiously consider the documents.

Lawan had before the lawmakers resumed sitting on Tuesday, from their annual break, assured that the senate would within the first week of resumption consider the MTEF and FSP.
