Buhari swears in chairman, 30 commissioners of RMAFC board

The Board of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) was on Thursday inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The inauguration of the board of RMAFC took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with Mr. Elias Mbam as chairman. He was inaugurated along 30 commissioners.

It is the duty of RMAFC to prepare the formula for sharing revenues among the three tiers of government in the country as well as to fix the remuneration of political office holders.

RMAFC also has as duty, the monitoring of revenues accruing to the federation account from revenue-generating agencies.

Announcing this in a post on his official Twitter handle, Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, said “President @MBuhari today, at the State House, swore in the chairman and 30 commissioners of Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). The Commission is established by law to monitor the accruals into and disbursement of revenue from the Federation Account.”
