Nigerian Senate counters Enang, denies budgetary provision for RUGA project

The Presidency has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will not interfere with who becomes leaders in the incoming 9th National Assembly.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang, stated this on Friday, describing Buhari as a man who believes so much in the rule of law.

According to him, the President would allow each arm of government to carry out its constitutional responsibility without interference.

Enang made this known when he addressed parliamentary reporters in Abuja.

It is believed, that Enang was reacting to calls by senators-elect who had tasked the President, and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to work with them, in order to avoid the mistakes of the past.
