President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Nigerian Senate to screen and confirm Mohammad Nami as the new chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Buhari’s request was contained in a letter he sent to the lawmakers, which the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan read out during the plenary on Tuesday.

The Presidency recently announced Buhari’s nomination of Nami as the person to replace the former FIRS boss, Babatunde Fowler.
