Buhari’s former principal appointed SUBEB scribe

Isyaku Bello, the principal of Government College, Katsina who was suspended from office by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government has been appointed as the secretary of the State Universal Education Board (SUBEB).

His appointment by Governor Aminu Masari was announced alongside those of some special advisers to the governor today in

Bello came to national limelight in the drama and intrigues that trailed the issue of the authenticity of the secondary school certificate of President Muhammadu Buhari during the campaigns in the run up to the 2015 general elections.

He was entangled in serious power play during the presidential election between the APC and the PDP over Buhari’s certificate.

A statement from the office of the Secretary to State Government said his appointment was in compliance with Section 18(1)&(2)of Law No 4 of 2005.

Also, Ten special advisers appointed by the governor include the acting chairman of the APC, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Dr Badamasi Lawal Charanci, Dr Rabe Nasi, Usman Bala Zango and Abdullahi Imam Musawa. Others are Farouk Jobe, Ibrahim Khalil, Hajia Binta Abba, Dr Abba Y. Abdullahi and Dr Lawal Usman Bagiwa.

All the appointments are with immediate effect.
