The profile of Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has just been boosted a notch higher after his album African Giant, recently became the most streamed African album on Spotify.

Reports say the album which has won several awards for Burna Boy including a Grammy Award nomination has become the most streamed African album on Spotify.

The body of work which was released by the singer in 2019 has thus far gotten 200 million on Spotity which is said to be the highest on the platform and also makes it the first African album to achieve such feat on the online streaming hub.

This comes days after co- convener of the BBOG campaign and activist, Aisha Yesufu slammed Burna Boy in a video for saying Nigerians will suffer if they didn’t channel the same energy they used in calling out Funke Akindele to calling out corrupt leaders.

In the video, the Kano born activist supported the fact that Nigerian youths had called out the actress, Funke Akindele adding that he could take a “dive” anywhere if he had a problem with it.
