Bus crashes into truck killing 6 kids in France

Six children who were heading for school lost their lives on Thursday morning when their minibus crashed into a truck in France a day after police say a similar incident occurred involving a school bus which left two young students dead.

The mini-bus had a head-on collision with the truck carrying a rubble near Rochefort in the western Charente-Maritime region at about 7:15 am (0615 GMT).

According to the police, aside the six children reported dead, three children suffered minor injuries in the bus that was carrying 17 people.

A day before, a school bus veered off a road in snowy conditions near the Swiss border in eastern France killing two children aged 12 and 15.

Police source handling the case said the school bus carrying 32 kids was on its daily trip to the village school in Montbenoit when it skid off the road.
