In from Ripples Nigeria

Ugandan champions, Vipers Sporting Club on Friday shocked two-time African Champions, Enyimba Football Club of Aba 1-0 in the preliminaries of CAF Champions league at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium, Uganda.

After a goalless first half characterized by countless missed chances from both sides, Erisa Ssekisumba scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute strike from a solo effort.

The Ugandan international broke free from the left, making his way into the box before firing past Enyimba keeper Theophilus Afelokai.

Enyimba will host the Ugandans in a fortnight in Port Harcourt to determine which club qualify to the next stage of the competition.
