CAF names Moses, Abdullahi among WCQ Best XI

Super Eagles duo of Victor Moses and Shehu Abdullahi were included in the CAF squad for matchday 5 of the African FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifers.

The CAF best XI, drawn in a 4-4-2 formation, was announced on Tuesday by the continental football body via its Twitter handle.

While Moses was exceptional in performance during Eagles’ 1-0 win over the Chipolopolo of Zambia last Saturday, Abdullahi provided the assist to the goal that qualified Nigeria for next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Also in the best XI is Mohamed Salah whose brace in a 2-1 win against Congo last Sunday qualified Egypt for their third ever World Cup.

Other players are Senegal’s Khadim N’diaye and Kalilou Koulibaly, Morocco’s trio Khalid Boutaib, Mbark Boussoufa and Achraf Hakimi, Egypt’s Ahmed Hegazy, Percy Tau of South Africa and Youssef Msakni of Tunisia.
