CHAN Eagles'll make Nigeria proud, Salisu speaks as team set for Morocco
Nigeria’s opponent in the qualifying fixture for the 2018 African Nations Championship has emerged as Benin Republic beat Togo in the preliminaries to advance.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Lome last week, Benin Republic held onto another 1-1 draw in the second leg in Cotonou, leading to a penalty shootout that Benin won 9-8 against Togo on Sunday.
The home-based  Eagles will now face their neighbours, Benin, in the final qualifying round for a place at the 16-team tournament scheduled to hold in Kenya from January 11 to February 2, 2018.

“The Governor Umar Ganduje administration has approved of the Eagles camping in Kano from Monday ahead of the first leg of their qualifying fixture,” said NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi.
The first leg of the qualifier comes up on August 13 in Cotonou, while the return leg is on August 19 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
