The home-based Super Eagles of Nigeria will be traveling by road to neighbouring Benin Republic, for their African Nations Championship qualifier billed for Sunday.
This was according to Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, who confirmed the plans to Complete Sports on Tuesday.
The first-leg of the qualifier has been scheduled for August 13 in Cotonou, hence the Nigerian team will begin their journey from their training camp on Friday.
The Eagles have been camping in Kano ahead of the tie, and will first travel by air to Lagos before heading down to Benin from Lagos by road.
Nigeria will host the reverse fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano a week after.
And the winner of the tie will qualify for next year’s CHAN in Kenya.
