Chelsea shift focus to Alvaro Morata - Report

English Premier League champions, Chelsea are lining up a huge bid to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, a report in Spain say.

This is coming days after League rivals, Manchester United, announced they have agreed with Everton on the transfer of Belgium international Romelu Lukaku, who was initially a target of the Blues.

Morata, on the other hand, was United’s target this summer but with Lukaku already on his way to Old Trafford, it is very unlikely that manager Jose Mourinho will keep up the chase for the Madrid star.

Morata scored 20 goals in 43 appearances for Madrid last season but the 24-year-old striker is desperate for a move away from the Bernabeu in search of more regular game-time.

The Spain forward may now move to Stamford Bridge if the deal goes through.

The report claimed there is a “more fluid relationship” between Madrid and Chelsea which could aid manager Antonio Conte in landing the former Juventus man.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, having lost Lukaku to the Red Devils, have also been eyeing Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
