Super sub Chison Chikatara emerged as Nigeria’s hero following the Super Eagles’ 4-1 demolition of the Menas of Niger in the second game of Group C at the on-going African Nations Championship in Kigali, Rwanda on Monday.

Osas Okoro scored the other goal for Nigeria while Zakari Adebayor’s strike was too little to influence matters for the Nigeriens.

After a not too impressive goalless first half, Okoro gave Nigeria the lead immediately after resumption of the second half before Abia Warriors striker, Chisom Chikatara, who replaced Tunde Adeniji doubled the score in the 74th minutes but Niger substitute Adebayor reduced the score in the 80th minutes through a powerful shot.

Not yet done, Chikatara added two more goals to end the match 4-1 in favour of Nigeria, thereby earning himself the Orange Man of the Match award.
