CHINA: Ighalo hits goal No.15, Mikel returns from injury

Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo has continued to impress in front of goal for his club Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League.

On Saturday, Ighalo scored his 15th goal of the season in Changchun’s 5-2 defeat to Guangzhou R&F in a league encounter.

The former Watford of England star did open the scoring in the 12th minute of the game, but the hosts fought back to seal the emphatic victory.

His current standing of 15 goals is a match with his record of last season When he scored 15 in 27 league outings for Changchun Yatai.

Meanwhile, Nigeria captain, John Mikel Obi, has finally returned to the playing field, having missed his club’s previous five league games due to injury.

Mikel, on his return on Saturday, played throughout the game that saw Tianjin Teda draw 1-1 at home against Jiangsu Suning.
