The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has launched another tirade at China, this time, he is accusing the Asian country of plotting to make him lose his re-election race in November.
Trump says Beijing wants his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, to win to ease pressure over trade and other issues.
The US leader said on Wednesday that he believes China’s handling of the coronavirus is proof that Beijing “will do anything they can” to make him lose his re-election bid in November.
“China will do anything they can to have me lose this race,” Trump said in an exclusive interview with Reuters news agency at the White House.
Trump said he was looking at different options in terms of consequences for China over the virus, also known as COVID-19.
“I can do a lot,” he said.
This comes two days after Trump declared that China has a lot of questions to answer for not stopping the spread of the COVID-19 disease from its source.
Trump who made the remarks on Monday attacked China over its handling of the COVID-19 virus stating that it could have stopped the virus before it spread across the world and that his administration was investigating what happened.
