CIA chief dismisses threat of possible nuclear war with North Korea

New US Secretary of State holds talks with allies over heightened Russian aggression

CIA Director Mike Pompeo has denied claims that there’s an “imminent” threat of a nuclear war between the US and North Korea.

While addressing newsmen, Pompeo, explained that Donald Trump’s threats against Pyongyang can be described only as possible response for “certain actions.”

In a related development, North Korea has recalled top ambassadors from their US overseas positions for an emergency meeting amid heightened tensions with Donald Trump and his administration.

The US and North Korea have recently been engaged in a war of words with Pyongyang describing Trump’s “fire and fury” threat if an American territory is targeted or attacked by Pyongyang as a “load of nonsense”.

Sensing that his “fire and fury” rage at North Korea may not have struck the right chord, President Donald Trump fired another warning at Kim Jong-Un’s government to “get their acts together” or face extraordinary “trouble”.
