You must act within the law during operations, Acting CJN tells Nigerian military

Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad, is currently at the National Assembly for screening.

The lawmakers had asked him to appear before their session today to be screened and possibly confirmed as the substantive CJN.

The acting CJN had arrived at the Senate chamber few minutes after 10am ahead the day’s plenary of the federal lawmakers.

President Muhammadu Buhari had last week nominated Muhammad as substantive CJN and asked the National Assembly to speedily screen and possibly confirm him for the position.
