SEXUAL MISCONDUCT ALLEGATIONS: Cohen reveals Trump knew hush money payments were wrong

The lawyer representing Michael Cohen has revealed that his client may have information tied to Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

According to Cohen’s lawyer, Lanny Davis in a series of interviews granted to television outlets on Wednesday, said he believes his client has information that would be of interest to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Cohen has “information … regarding both knowledge of a conspiracy to corrupt American democracy by the Russians and the failure to report that knowledge to the FBI”, Davis told MSNBC.

Cohen had earlier said he is “more than happy” to speak to the inquiry into alleged collusion with Russia during the last polls.

Cohen who was a former lawyer of Trump had separately pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations and other charges, saying he made payments to influence the 2016 election at the direction of a candidate for federal office.

His revelation came after Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort was found guilty on Tuesday of eight financial crimes in the first trial victory of the special counsel investigation into the president’s associates.
