Confusion over alleged arrest of ex Ekiti gov

In from Olumide Olaoluwa …
There was confusion in Ekiti State yesterday over reports that former governor of old Ondo State, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua, had been arrested.
His alleged arrest was not unconnected with the intra-party crisis rocking the Ekiti chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Olumilua was arrested at his Ikere Ekiti country home and whisked to the State Police Command Headquarters, Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
His supporters alleged he was arrested based on a petition by the APC State Secretary, Paul Omotoso, accusing the ex-governor of holding a “subversive party meeting in his house where he nominated somebody as minister without consulting the party excos”.

But Omotoso in a telephone chat with our reporter denied the arrest of Olumilua.
The party scribe said: “He wasn’t arrested, maybe the Police invited him”.
Repeated calls to Olumilua’s mobile phone were not answered and text messages sent to him were not replied at the time of filing this report.
