A conman identified as Chike Nnaemeka, aka Dr. Justified is now telling officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) how he duped an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Nkechi Ani, into marrying him and paying necessary bills for their wedding.

Nnaemeka who claimed to be a gynaecologist according to a statement issued by Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC spokesman, collected the sum of N6.7m from his supposed wife under various demands.

It was gathered that Nnaemeka started plotting on how to drain Nkechi financially when she was introduced to him at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State by one of her classmates.

Unknown to Nkechi who got married to Nnaemeka when they were joined as man and wife in a traditional wedding on the 6th of June, 2016, her supposed husband was a married man with three kids.

When the veil fell from her eyes, Nkechi made attempts to get Nnaemeka arrested and promptly filed a petition which reads thus; ‘‘During the wedding preparation, Justified brought up so many stories bordering on cultural issues that I or anyone from my family is not supposed to visit his home town until after my marriage.

“He also said that the tradition of his place as a lone prince demanded that I sponsored every financial aspect of the traditional marriage, but that he would refund me to the last one naira I spent.”

Nkechi also revealed that she transferred a certain amount to Nnaemeka’s account after he told her that he has a property that both Zenith Bank Plc and Diamond Bank Plc were purportedly interested in buying.

Nkechi said she gave him the amount after he showed her documents of the property and requested that he needed money to complete the process. She also claimed that the suspect stole $3,000 belonging to her boss.

The statement by the EFCC spokesman further revealed that the suspect who is in custody will soon be charged to court.

“Investigation has revealed that the suspect, who is married to another woman who had three children for him, also lied that his mother passed on some years back. The suspect will soon be charged to court, after investigation is concluded,” the statement added.
