Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of the 2006 Gulder Ultimate Search winner Hector Oluwaseun Jobarteh at his New Oko-Oba residence in Lagos bringing the total number of suspects arrested to six.

That much information was revealed by Lagos State Police Commissioner, Imohimi Edgal, at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja during the parade of other criminals.

The Lagos CP also revealed that the arrests were made between September 6 and 13 following intelligence report.

Edgal who also noted that one of the suspects was still at-large said; “The driver that conveyed the killers of Hector and one of the killers have been arrested.. The phone belonging to Hector, which was stolen from him after his murder, has been recovered.

In his confessional statement, the driver, identified as Igana, said he was flagged down by some men who threatened him with a gun claiming he didn’t know they were hired killers.

He said; “I was looking for an Android phone when my brother, Valentine, linked me with one JK. It was JK that called me to drive them to Yaba from Cement and I was paid N8,000, after I had charged them N10,000.

“The next day, JK called me again to take them to Abeokuta and I charged them N20,000. On the way, we stopped at Sango and two other men joined us.

“We later stopped by at a nearby bush and JK ordered one of the men to bring out a nylon bag which had a gun inside. That was when I tried running away, but I was threatened and ordered back into the car.

“I was later arrested through my younger brother, who had gone to sell a stolen phone later identified as the victim’s phone..”

Hector who had kept a low profile after winning the Gulder Ultimate Search reality TV show 11-years ago was trailed home about three weeks on his way back from the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, after picking up his younger brother who had just arrived from the US.

Reports say immediately Hector parked his car and went up to his apartment, the gunmen forcibly gained entry into his compound going from one apartment to the other before locating Hector in his living room where he was shot dead.
