Lagos discharges another 5 coronavirus patients

The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said facilities in Epe, Lekki and Alimosho will be ready for use soon, as centres for the coronavirus disease.

Sanwo-Olu also stated that the state is putting more efforts to ensure that the facilities are used to treat coronavirus infected patients.

“We have other facilities that we have reserved in the event that we need to trigger the usage of those facilities. We have facilities in Epe, Alimosho, Lekki, and other places waiting if we need to activate and clear those facilities, especially for quarantine.

“If we need to just hold people for 14-days and we don’t know their status, then we can take them to those facilities. Because it is not every case that we need to take to the red zone in the isolation centre, we need to have where we call a holding bay,” he said.
