Court adjourns Seun Egbegbe’s iPhone theft case pending investigations

A court case involving serial fraudster Seun Egbegbe has now been adjourned pending police investigations into fraud accusations levelled against him.

Seun was to appear before an Ikeja Magistrate court today over his attempted theft of nine iPhones at a shop at Computer Village, identified as Kaalcech Innovation and Consultancy located at No 9, Medical Road, Ikeja, on Tuesday, November 22.

Reports say the case was adjourned following an appeal by the Nigerian Police which requesting the continued detention of Seun who is presently been held in Police custody at Area H Command in Ogudu, Lagos, after he was arrested last week (February 2nd) for attempting to defraud two Bureau de Change operators to the tune of N6m.

According to DSP Dolapo Badmos, the Lagos State Public Relations Officer, the Police Command sought the consent of the court to have the case adjourned pending the conclusion of an investigation on a new charge.

From all indications, the Ebony Films Production boss, is likely to spend more time in police custody after the Police Command sought the consent of the Lagos State court to extend his detention to allow extensive investigation into the new charges since he’s a ‘habitual suspect’.

However, Seun is expected to appear at Ogudu Magistrate Court this Friday to answer for his attempt to defraud two Bureau de Change operators under false pretense.
