Court frees ex-Gov Rashidi Ladoja of N4.7billion corrupt charges

Former governor Rashidi Ladoja of Oyo State has been discharged and acquitted of a N4.7 billion alleged fraud charge against him.

The former governor alongside his former Commissioner for Finance, Mr Waheed Akanbi were freed by Justice Mohammed Idris of a Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday.

Juctice Mohammed ruled that the evidence brought against the duo by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was “too low” to prosecute them.
