Court jails mum 8 years after 11-month old son died of heroine ingestion
A 33-year-old Ohio based mum, Denise Dickinson has been slammed with an 8-year jail term after her 11-month-old son, Dominic died from ingesting a huge dose of heroine.
Dickinson pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter after prosecutors told an Ohi court that her son ingested heroine and the powerful painkiller fentanyl before he stopped breathing at their Columbus home in May 2015.

Continuing, the prosecutor said Dominic was later pronounced dead by medics some minutes after arriving hospital.
Dickinson who was sentenced on Friday also entered her guilty plea as the boy’s father was also charged in the case. He pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter last year and was sentenced to nine years in prison.
