CONSTITUENCY PROJECT SCAM: Court orders interim forfeiture of N116m

The Court of Appeal on Thursday said the dissolution of the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal was an administrative exercise carried out by the President of the court, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.

According to a statement by the spokesperson of the court, Mrs. Sa’adatu Musa, Bulkachuwa took the decision because of the need to expose the new members to election petition cases since the old members had recently had experience in such cases.

Sa’adatu Musa said: “It was an administrative step taken by the President of the Court of Appeal in exercise of her constitutional powers.

“The new panel will start work soon. The earlier panel has not started sitting, so there is not need for anyone to be suspicious.”
