Court orders alleged wife killer, Shonde remanded for 30 days

Lekan Shonde, the alleged killer of his wife, has been ordered remanded in prison custody by an Ebute-Meta Chief Magistrate Court for 30 days.

Shonde, who was accused of killing his wife, was arraigned by the police on Friday.

It would be recalled that Shonde allegedly killed his wife after suspicion and scuffle over an extra-marital affair. He was said to have fled immediately after her death and was declared wanted by the police.

He however turned himself in after a few days in hiding.
The autopsy conducted on the victim reportedly showed that she suffered respiratory failure and brushes to the head.
Meanwhile, the remains of the late Ronke , was buried at the Atan Cemetery, Yaba today.

The event was witnessed by few family members and friends.
