The Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, has been ordered to immediately release the #RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore, or go to jail.
The order was issued to the Nigerian secret police boss by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Sowore, has remained in the custody of the DSS despite meeting conditions for his bail earlier handed to him by Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday.
In a “notice of disobedience to order of court” issued by the court on Thursday and addressed to the DSS DG, the Federal High Court ordered the DSS DG to comply with its bail directive or face grave consequences.
The consequences includes “commitment to prison”.
