Court restrains Tonto Dikeh from featuring son in her reality TV show

A Lagos State Magistrate court presided over by P. A. Adekomaiya has issued an injunction restraining Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh from featuring her son in her reality TV show tagged “King Tonto”.

Magistrate Adekomaiya also ordered the issuance of‎ the verdict to the parties involved in the suit which was filed on January 16, this year by Olakunle Churchill, the estranged husband of Tonto.

The ruling by the court was sequel to the suit by Churchill who argued that he is filing the suit to protect the rights of their son King Andre who is scheduled to feature prominently in the reality TV show produced by Linda Ikeji Media Limited.

In the court papers, Churchill pointed out that the production is entirely an adult content, saying “Thus, the Reality Show called ‘King Tonto’ being produced by Linda Ikeji Media Limited and featuring King Andre cannot be released or aired.”

He also noted in the family suit that he is protecting his son’s rights as captured under the Child Rights Law of Lagos State as the reality TV show will expose the life and times of their son at a period when he cannot make a decision for himself, especially as Tonto is only doing it financial gain.
