Witness reveals how Dasuki approved $40m for Jonathan’s cousin

A cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Robert Azibaola, has been ordered remanded in Kuje prison pending the determination of his bail application by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Azibaola, the Managing Director of Kakarta, a construction firm, was arraigned alongside his wife, Stella, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly receiving a $40m contract from embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki.

They were arraigned alongside one of their companies, Oneplus on a seven count charge bordering on money laundering and fraud.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba however ruled that Azibaola’s wife, Stella could continue to enjoy the administrative bail earlier granted her by the EFCC, while he adjourned till Wednesday to rule on the bail application for Azibaola.
