Ex Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) President Ibinabo Fiberesima has been slammed with a N10 million fine by a Port Harcourt Division of the Federal High Court for a breach of contract case filed against her by former beauty queen, Miss Earth Nigeria 2011/2012, Miss Munachi Chinenye Uzoma.

The suit instituted against Ibinabo and AMC Productions Ltd saw victory swing the way of Miss Uzoma when the court presided by Justice Adolphus Enebeli in its judgment, agreed with the plaintiff, Miss Uzoma, that Fiberesima and AMC Productions Ltd, cheated Uzoma and breached a contract signed 28 October, 2011.

It could be recalled that Miss Uzoma decided to go to court after an incident during the finals of the Miss Earth Nigeria staged in 2011 which saw her being substituted for the second runner up position of beauty pageant after she was earlier announced as the winner.

The case which has been going on since 2012 has finally served justice to an elated Miss Uzoma who said she has passed through a whole lot of psychological trauma since 2011.
Expressing gratitude to the judiciary for her victory in court, Miss Uzoma said justice has been served and that the ruling will give hope to the oppressed who can now trust that they can seek redress in Nigerian courts when their rights are trampled upon.
