Court stops Metuh from seeking treatment abroad

A Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Okon Abang, on Wednesday turned down the request of Olisa Metuh, former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), from traveling abroad to seek medical attention.

Metuh, who is standing trial for alleged misappropriation of funds meant for arms purchase, had his trial adjourned on Thursday last week  after he threw up, and was unable to stand trial.

Meanwhile,  the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division has also dismissed Metuh’s appeal lodged before it, saying that he has a case to answer over the N400 million allegedly transferred from Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, into his company account.
