ZAMFARA: Deputy gov rejects Yari's anointed candidate, vows to fight on

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday upheld the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission rejecting the list of candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Zamfara state.

Some aspirants of the party in the state had dragged the party to court following the exclusion of their names from the list sent to INEC.

Justice Ojukwu said the party failed to conduct a valid primary election within the stipulated time scheduled by INEC, hence, none of the candidates presented should be accepted by the electoral body.
