COVID-19: El-Rufai not in ICU, working from isolation —Aide
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is getting better in isolation and has not been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), his chief of staff said on Monday.
Reports had said the governor was transferred to the ICU at the weekend after his health deteriorated.
Muhammad Sani Dattijo, who reacted to the report on his Twitter handle, described it as the handiwork of the governor’s detractors.
He said El-Rufai had been working from isolation.
He even posted a photo of himself and the governor chatting. Surprisingly, El-Rufai was spotted with a grey beard.

Dattijo said: “Mallam Nasir El-Rufai at 2:06 p.m., Monday 20 April. Alive and Well. Working from isolation. To all the folks tweeting about him in ICU, you shall see it before he does Insha Allah.”
Governor El-Rufai tested positive for COVID-19 in March and has been in isolation since that time.
