COVID-19 exposed the evident weaknesses of our health system —Gbajabiamila

The Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has said that the COVID-19 pandemic exposed the messy state of the health system in Nigeria.

The Speaker was heard saying this in a message on Tuesday, speaking on the challenges and crisis the coronavirus pandemic brought to the country.

“This crisis has exposed in the worst possible way the evident weaknesses of our health system,” he said.

The number of persons testing positive to the dreaded virus has continued to mount. According to the update on the disease released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday night, 138 persons have been infected.

Two persons have died of the virus in the country, while nine have recovered from it.
