COVID-19: Family of Katsina index case discharged

CORONAVIRUS: Over 40 health workers in isolation —LUTH, UITH

The four family members of Katsina State COVID-19 index case, Dr. Aliyu Yakubu, who died as a result of the disease, have been discharged after testing negative for the virus.

The Chairman Coronavirus Public Enlightenment Committee in Daura Local Government Area, Alhaji Hussaini Umar Rafindadi, disclosed this to journalists in an interview on Saturday.

It would be recalled that the late Dr. Yakubu died as a result of complications arising from the disease before he could be tested and treated. Tests conducted on members of his family however returned negative.
