Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said on Monday all the COVID-19 patients who lied about their travel history would be prosecuted.

The governor, who disclosed this at a press briefing at the State House, Marina, said such patients not only endangered their lives but those of the health workers handling their cases.

He said: “These patients do not only endanger their lives but the lives of our front line medical personnel, we already have some names and they will be prosecuted duly”. “We would, therefore, like to appeal to our health workers to raise alarm as soon as they notice anything of sort.”

Lagos, regarded as the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic has 376 cases of coronavirus with 14 deaths.
